Mary and Joey are off to Dominica

We are a few days away from our trip.  Here are the basics:

Dominica is a small island in the Lesser Antilles, 280 miles around with 300 rivers.  We are going to Rosalie Bay in the South East corner.

It takes a while to get there so we will spend the first night in San Juan and El Convento and wander the old town streets.

We have secured Claudia's Kindle account so we will be reading and hanging out the while time.

Hera care is being graciously provided by Trish for all those who worry about my girl while I am away.

MOre Blogging

I forgot about this blog but I think I will revive it. I'm so proud of my friend Claudia for posting information on her blog, My Left Breast, along with her fears and emotions related to her breast cancer. She is cancer free and gorgeous!

S is recovering nicely from her surgery. We all joke that our warranties have run out and the frames are breaking down.

I'm so tired of being fat. I am able to accomplish a lot but can't seem to conquer this. It's ridiculous.

Went to a Stieglitz exhibit at the Met yesterday with Anna. I particularly like paintings within paintings. the O'Keeffe collection was not very impressive - I guess he let the best stuff get sold off. He was very supportive of an artist I was not familiar with - John Marin. More later folks.

Welcome to Maryworld

So I had so much fun blogging about the trip to Denmark and Norway that I decided to continue blogging. Plus I have some funny thoughts most days and I'd like to capture them. This seems like the best way.

Main characters will come and go but one who is consistent will be Hera. Here she is!!

Thank goodness my family bought me a camera a few years ago for my 50th... it is coming in handy.
